Crews responded to a chemical storage business, Empacks, at 98 Walker Drive in Brampton.
The business houses liquid and gel products and keeps large amounts of chemicals, according to the Brampton fire department.
The warehouse in question contains ethanol and heptanes - a chemical sometimes used in paints.
Fire officials reported that crews inside the warehouse have heard several explosions.
Crews are now focusing their efforts on cooling down walls and storage tanks according to the Brampton Fire twitter account.
A foam truck from Toronto's Pearson airport has been called in to assist fire crews.
One person has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
