Fire forces evacuations at Siloam Springs Plant

A fire at a plastics manufacturing plant in Siloam Springs caused evacuations early Monday morning.

At about 5 a.m. firefighters were called to 1700 S. Lincoln Street, to the Pipelife Jet Stream plastics manufacturing plant.

According to the Siloam Springs fire chief plastics products in the product receiving area on the west side of the facility caught fire. All workers were immediately evacuated from the plant.

Fire damage is estimated at $75,000. No injuries were reported.

According to the company's website Pipelife Jet Stream is one of the country's largest manufacturers of plastic pipe and fittings.
