A malfunctioning control panel led to a short circuit that caused a small fire at the Paricha Therma Power Plant.   The fire began because control cables stuffed into a congested area caught fire.

No casualties were reported, but someone was injured with a minor burn.

The unit will remain closed for a week for repair.  It will not affect power supply.
