A massive fire destroyed the main building of a wood pallet manufacturer in Edmonton.  It caused $3 million in damages.  Firefighters responded at 3am on Saturday after receiving reports of heavy smoke and flames.

The blaze was put under control around 11:10am, but on Sunday, firefighters were brought back to the scene when smoldering sawdust ignited a secondary blaze.

Investigators have not found the cause of the blaze, but it is believed to have started in the main manufacturing building.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, the manufacturing building was engulfed in flames.

Laura Ruddock, Edmonton Fire Spokeswoman said, "The fire posed a unique challenge as wooden pallets were stacked throughout the grounds."

No injuries or fire protection was reported.
