5 Dead, 3 Missing in China Chem Plant Blast

A chemical plant explosion in the east Chinese province of Jiangsu has taken the lives of five people and three remain missing.   The blase happened today at 10:03am at the Shuangma Chemical Plant.

Rescuers found two bodies on the scene and three people died at the hospital as a result of their injuries.

Nine other people were injured and are still being treated at the hospital.

Firefighters have extinguished the flames and are searching for the missing.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
