On Friday a massive explosion tore a Kosovo plant apart. At this time, three people have been confirmed dead and more than a dozen injured.
The final death toll has not been announced at this time.
Officials believe that the coal-fired power plant explosion was caused by a mechanic's error while replacing a hydrogen canister used for cooling generators. The sound of the explosion could be heard as far as Pristina and a black plume of smoke was seen hovering above the plant.
One body was found at the explosion site (my assumption would be that this was the mechanic's body); there is an ongoing search for more bodies.
As news comes in, we will continue to update.
