Williston, ND -- A massive blaze at a Williston oil supply plant shot fireballs into the air yesterday, but it has now been extinguished.
"The fire is out, but you've got some smoldering embers that might pop up here and there," he said.
The fire, at one point, was so hot that fireballs were shot hundreds of feet into the air. However, fire crews are still unsure what caused the fire.
State records show that flammable chemicals are on the company's property. Firefighters are unable to tell exactly what chemicals burned at this time.
The North Dakota Department of Health is monitoring air quality.
The fire resulted in a six-hour flight restriction over the area and closed roads.
