Horseshoe Bay, TX -- Fluor Corporation has recently completed the Ferguson Replacement Project - a one of a kind high-efficiency, combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plant with a 540MW capacity.  It's replacing a less-efficient plant that was built in 1974.  F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems is excited to have been the fire protection contractor on this project.

Fluor was awarded the project in November, 2011.  The plant is designed to meet new, stringent environmental and operational requirements.

"The new power plant will be among the most efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible power plants in Texas, producing 30-40% fewer emissions per unit of power than the old plant," said LCRA General Manager Phil Wilson.
