Two Wisconsin Construction Workers Buried Alive in Berm Collapse

Lake Geneva, WI -- Emergency crews were called to a Lake Geneva construction site on Thursday, September 11 when a berm collapsed and buried two construction workers alive.

The berm was underneath a bridge when it collapsed.  Two men were trapped from 15-20 minutes before rescue crews freed them.

One worker was taken to a local hospital, and the other was air lifted by Flight for Life to another hospital.

Both men were conscious and alert when they were transported.

OSHA is investigating.
