Fire at Peach Bottom Power Plant

plant fire suppresionDelta, PA -- On Saturday, a fire ignited at the Peach Bottom Power Plant when lubrication oil sprayed insulation and blankets, causing a fire to ignite.

No one was injured and very little damage resulted from the fire.

The plant used Co2 suppression, which helped keep the fire contained to the blankets that ignited.  Fire crews arrived and extinguished the remaining fire.

Thanks to the efforts of the fire crews, and the Co2 fire suppression, the plant operated the entire time during the fire, leading to zero disruption in production.
