Barcelona, Spain -- Three people were injured in a chemical plant explosion near Barcelona this morning.
A toxic orange cloud spread over the area and residents were asked to stay indoors. The regional government of Catalonia said that it appears the blast was caused by two chemicals coming in contact during delivery to the plant.
The confinement was partially lifted. However, emergency services were still advising children, elderly, and pregnant women to stay inside.
Six towns were part of the order.
One of the two chemical involved in the blast was nitric acid, which is both corrosive and toxic.
