Lincoln County, NC -- More than one hundred firefighters responded to an industrial fire on Sunday.
Fire crews got the call around 4pm on Sunday and arrived soon after. The blaze started outside the plant and it spread inside.
Dion Burleson, Lincoln Co Emergency Management, said, "[It was a] large outside fire that spread to a couple of vehicles as well as the building." Once the fire reached the plant, it strengthened due to all of the flammable product within the building.
No one was inside the building during the fire and no serious injuries occurred. Crews kept the flames from reaching a nearby neighborhood.
The North Carolina Forestry Service said preliminary clues point to burning outdoor debris as the point of origin of the fire.
