New Orleans, LA -- A construction worker died while working on a post-Katrina project in New Orleans.
A construction crew was working on building a structure to block storm surge from a canal that was breached during Hurricane Katrina.
The Army Corps of Engineers and Bob Kula of Kiewit have announced that the construction worker died last Thursday from injuries he sustained while removing forms from the concrete wall. The family has asked that his name remain private.
The accident is being investigated.
