Fremont -- Repairs have begun on the Graham Packaging Plant after a fire caused $75,000 in damages.
The fire started when a hydraulic line failed. The damage was limited to an injection pass.
"Sprinklers in that part of the plant kicked in. Power was shut down to the area and all of our employees were evacuated. No one was hurt, which is the most important thing," said Plant Manager Robert Burkhart.
The plant was able to operate normally by Friday afternoon.
The original damage estimate was $1.5 million, but was lowered to $75k.
