Ten people were injured when a crane collapsed at a Midtown East construction site. All injured were taken to Bellevue and New York Presbyterian hospitals in stable condition.
The crane was lifting an air conditioning unit when the cable snapped. It dropped the 4-ton unit, which slid along the façade of 261 Madison Ave, damaging it.
Luckily, the incident happened on a weekend and not many people were in the area.
