Washington DC -- A 50-year old construction worker was killed while working on an unfinished National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The worker has not yet been identified publicly. He was working on a scaffold when it collapsed. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 1:15pm.
The firefighters went to the roof, where the worker had fallen. He was extracted and CPR was given. A construction crane was used to lower him from the roof, and then he was rushed to a hospital.
The victim died at the hospital.
