Worker Seriously Burned at Power Plant

Indiantown, FL -- A worker was seriously burned at a power plant on Tuesday morning.

Worker Severely Burned in Power Plant Fire | F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems 

At 8:40am, a fire that took place in the generator room at Indiantown Cogeneration Plant caused a worker to get a severe burn.  He was flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Crews extinguished the fire; however, the plant cannot be restarted until the smoke is removed from the building.  

Indiantown Cogeneration operates a 330 MW pulverized coal-fired facility.
