On Monday, an explosion shook a Chinese chemical plant. Luckily, no casualties were reported. However, 160 people were killed in similar incidents in China just last month.
The explosion caused fire and thick smoke to billow from the chemical plant just before midnight on Monday.
Chemical plant explosions are becoming more and more common in China. Just last week, five people died in an explosion. In August, 160 people died in chemical plant fires and explosions. In addition, 720 others were injured.
In addition to the August explosions, 2,500 tons of toxic substances were released.
