Two People Airlifted from Scene after Construction Accident | The Moran Group 

Newfield, NY -- Two people were airlifted to the hospital after a strange construction accident. 

One person was driving a forklift when it suddenly lost power.  The driver had no control over the power, steering, or breaks.  It careened down a hill and stopped only when it hit another construction vehicle.  Both vehicles were pushed into a hole where new culvert pipe was being put in place.

New York State Police say the drivers of both cars and a local resident who was helping on the project were injured.  Two of the injured people were airlifted to the hospital.  The other injured person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
