Coal Dust Explosion

Green Bay, WI -- A plant had a coal dust explosion on April 19, which the Green Bay Metro Fire Department posted on Facebook video.

The explosion happens 40 seconds into the video.

No firefighters were hurt in the explosion.  The firefighters were in contact with plant employees during the ordeal and informed them that an explosion was about to happen.

"The piece of equipment which was on fire was designed with 'blow out' panels which allow a smaller explosion, but reduce the chances of a catastrophic explosion," said Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

The fire department announced that everyone "went home safe."
