Bret Logemann
President, Fire Protection National Division
Bret Logemann built his career on grit and fortitude, earning his way up through the field as a sprinkler fitter and learning what it takes to deliver on mission-critical fire protection work. One principle has guided him throughout his life and leadership: “It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish.”
In 2010, Bret launched what is now F.E. Moran’s national fire protection operation in Kansas City and built it through performance, trust, and relentless follow-through. Early on, his message to customers was simple: “Give me one job, and if we do not perform, you never have to take my call again.” He knew his team would deliver, and they did, time and time again.
Bret’s leadership style is grounded in an open-door mindset and an uncompromising commitment to customer relationships. Many of his projects are relationship-driven because customers know they are getting a strong partner, a quality outcome, and a team that will get it done right. Internally, he defines “team” broadly, encompassing sales, design, purchasing, project management, and all trades in the field, and he leads by example to keep everyone pulling in the same direction.
In the market, Bret is especially proud of F.E. Moran’s capabilities in complex industrial environments, including high-piled storage and cold storage applications, where execution, coordination, technology, and accountability are everything.
FAMILY AND ENJOYMENT OUTSIDE OF WORK
Family is central to Bret’s life. He and his wife, Darla, have been together for 29 years, and are proud of their kids: Ashlee, Jessica, Cole, and Cassidy. One of Bret's greatest joys in life comes from spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adores and cherishes as the “lights of his life”, especially watching them develop their own athletic talents just like his own children did. Every year, Bret brings the whole family together for a dedicated weekend, renting a house in a central location so everyone can be together.
Bret is an adrenaline junkie and an adventurer, and he has the stories and the stats to prove it. With over 150 skydiving jumps, including going back for his second jump the very next day after his first one started out with a chute that wouldn’t open. He holds a scuba certification and has flown aircraft.

For Bret, loyalty is a commitment to people. He talks about loyalty to the company, loyalty to his team, and loyalty to Brian Moran. He takes pride in not being the weak link for those who rely on him. One proof point matters deeply to him: F.E. Moran has never made him a promise it did not keep. Bret also reinforces loyalty through tradition and gratitude, including a “Friendsgiving” that the team has kept going for many years because it matters to him and his team.
