San Diego, CA -- A 56-year old construction worker was killed when a structure collapsed while a FedEx distribution center was being built.
The victim, Kenneth Shultz, was using a handheld hydraulic machine that is used to compact dirt. A section of retaining wall fell on top of him, crushing him.
A crane operator acted quickly to right the 3x12 foot slab of concrete, but it was too late.
The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration has an open investigation about the incident. Read the complete story here.
