Orlando, FL -- Two men were injured while doing construction work on a medical building on July 3. While working on the building, trusses collapsed on them.
Both injured men are believed to be in their 20s, but identities have not been revealed yet.
Charles Johnson, assistant chief for Lake EMS, said the men fell from 25-35 feet. One on his head. He was air lifted to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. The other refused medical treatment.
"Obviously, he had injuries that would indicate that he needed to be at a trauma unit, which is why we activated air support," Johnson said.
Police Lt. Jason Paynter said this construction site has had problems in the past. Last month strong winds knocked down parts of the building.
