Chicago, IL -- A road construction project on Chicago's Northwest side is expected to uncover thousands of bodies.
The road construction is taking place on a section of Oak Park Avenue that once was the home of a cemetery with nearly 7,000 bodies.
The area was the burial site for the poor, criminals, and unidentified criminal victims. The site was used as a cemetery from 1890 to 1912.
Workers are planning to use a radar before digging. The radar will allow the construction site to comply with state laws on relocating bodies.
