The Moran Group's Safety Director, Jason Galoozis was selected by Clark Safety Team to conduct training for 200+ tradesman.
As part of National Safety Week, Jason Galoozis, Safety Director for the Moran Group and Clark Construction Company partnered to work on safety training for 200+ multi-trade pre-employees who will be working at the 150 River Construction High-rise project.
From 7:00am to 10am, Galoozis conducted three separate training seminars on fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers are considered primitive self-defense against fires, but essential in construction.
Galoozis began each session explaining the different types of fire extinguishers available, limitations of each fire extinguisher, the three componants that make up the fire triangle, and the P.A.S.S. (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep). At the conclusion of each presentation, Galoozis picked nine individuals and each one had the opportunity to simulate extinguishing a barrel fire.
Overall, the participants appeared to have had fun learning during the training.
