Construction Worker Dies in Accident | The Moran Group

Hancock, MS -- A concrete contractor was killed when he was attempting to fix a sagging floor that ultimately collapsed on top of him.

The contractor was identified at 54 year old Gary Berthelot.

According to witnesses, the concrete floor was poured on top of pilings and metal supports.  The structure was sagging, so four contractors went under the structure to repair a sag.  Something went wrong and it collapsed.  Three of the four men were able to scramble out.  Berthelot was burried beneath the rubble.
