Norwalk, OH -- A historic grave site has been unearthed while a construction company was excavating.

Several human remains were found a few feet from the surface.  Experts believe the bones are hundreds of years old.

"When we decided to do this, we knew that there was a possibility there could be some graves that were not marked," Huron County Commissioner Tom Dunlap said.  He added that engineers took precautions to not disturb a neighboring cemetary that dates back to the 1800s.

Construction is on hold while the remains are being analyzed by paleontologists.
