In 2016, Chicago saw many big ticket construction projects begin, but One Bennett Park was the biggest. At $248,180,000, this 67-story high-rise has 280 apartments and 69 condos in Streeterville. The prices for a condo are starting at $2 million.
Offices at 151 N. Franklin Street
The John Buck Company developed this project with architect John Ronan. The project cost $238,495,000. The building offers retail shops, parking, and offices. Ronan is also the architect behind the Obama presidential library.
The Sinclair, 1201 N. LaSalle Drive
This project cost $222,112,000. The project is in Old Town and is a 35-story residential complex with 390 units, a grocery store, parking garage, and rooftop pool.
Wintrust Arena, 200 E. Cermak Road
DePaul University is building a sports arena for $150,005,000 near the McCormick Place convention center. Bonus: F.E. Moran is working on this project!
Residential and Shopping - 508 W. Diversey Parkway
Broder Diversey LLC will be building a $150 million, 12-story building. It will include retail space and parking.
