Chicago, IL -- A man was killed in a construction accident.
On Friday at 3pm, a special operations team responded to a call to rescue a man involved in an accident 60 feet in the air. Details are unclear, but the man was slumped over a crane railing.
One witness said, "He collapsed over the railing where part of his body was extended over the railing. His head down."
His co-workers were above him and trying to get down to help. Rescue workers were also helping.
"Two of the workers were above that so it took a few minutes for them to get down where he was. Then they pulled him off the rail and laid him flat and started administering CPR," said witness Stan Banash.
The man was taken to Northwestern University Medical Center where he died.
