Construction crews were completing an excavation on the Ruthvern Bridge in Scotland when they discovered a 121 year old time capsule.
The crew found a rusty metal box, the size of a shoe box at the site. Inside, they found newspaper from 1894, a paper scroll, and a bottle of whiskey. Robert Ogg, with Morgan Sindall, the construction company that found the time capsule, said, "It is fascinating to think these items have been sitting in the bridge's structure for 121 years...the changes which have occurred since it was placed there are extraordinary. If you think that the bridge was being used by horses back then, it gives you a sense of the time which has passed."
The time capsule and artifacts were given to the Highland Fold Museum.
