11 Die in Thai Construction Accident

A construction accident in Thailand has killed 11 and injured 18.  

The construction workers were working on building a hospital annex for the Mahidol University hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital Medical Center, when a supporting beam in an elevator shaft collapsed and fell on workers below.

The hospital blames the collapse on the soil subsidence under the elevator chute.
