Fire Sprinkler Contains Nursing Home Fire

Brattleboro, VT -- On Wednesday, a dryer fire started in the laundry room of a nursing home.  Thankfully, fire sprinklers were installed.

The fire grew to 2-alarms, but was contained to the laundry room when fire sprinklers activated.  The Brattleboro Fire Department extinguished the remaining flames when they arrived.

Over fifty residents were evacuated and taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital to wait for smoke to clear.  No one was injured in the fire.
