Cottleville, MO (KSDK) - A fire that investigators say broke out in the kitchen of a bowling alley in St. Charles County was quickly contained by the in-house sprinkler system.
Firefighters got the emergency call after a fire alarm was sounded at the Harvest Lanes on North St. Peter's Parkway around 4:20 a.m. Monday.
When officials arrived on scene, heavy smoke was coming from the structure and glass doors were broken to gain entry. The fire was located in the kitchen, but was pretty well out thanks to the sprinkler.
No immediate word on what caused the fire. The bowling alley was closed at the time and no injuries were reported.
