Fire crews were battling a three-alarm blaze that broke out at a convenience store and quickly spread to an entire strip mall in Hawthorne on Wednesday.

The fire was spotted by L.A. County fire fighters around 8:45 p.m. at a convenience store in the 12000 block of East Hawthorne Boulevard (map).

The flames quickly spread and engulfed other businesses.
