Derrick Sumair, 23, a suspected arsonist, has been arrested for setting fires in several malls throughout Queens.

Firefighters were called to the Macy's at Queens Center Shopping Center on February 24, 2014 when clothing had been set on fire.  Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Sears, Staples, Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond, TJ Maxx, and Burlington Coat Factory also had fires.

Later Monday evening, Derrick Sumair was arrested as a suspect.

FDNY Deputy Chief Joseph Schiralli said, "There were limited contents fires, no structure fires.  The sprinkler here in Sears activated.  We put them out."
