5/9/14 UPDATE: Four Found Dead in Fire at Home of Tennis Player James Blake

5/9/14 UPDATE:  It has been discovered that the father in this family purchased fireworks and gas prior to the fire.  It has also been determined that all four family members were shot prior to the fire.


5/8/14 UPDATE:  It has been determined that the fire was arson.  It is believed that the four victims were a family renting the home from Blake:  two adults and their teenage children.  It has not been confirmed yet, but investigators believe that the victims were murdered prior to the fire.  Murder-suicide has not been ruled out.


Four people were found dead inside a 5,856 square foot mansion in Tampa, FL owned by pro tennis player James Blake. 

A spokesman for the James Blake Foundation reports that James Blake was not inside the home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and it has not been reported as suspicious, yet.  Police have also not been able to determine if the people found dead inside, died of the fire or some other cause.

Firefighters found fireworks inside the home during a cursory search of the home.
