A storage facility had a pallet fire on July 9 at 10pm.  The east side of the facility was nearly destroyed when a cluster of pallets caught fire.

The San Antonio Fire Department Assistant Chief Oscar Gonzalez said the blaze burned a few hundred pallets out of the thousands at the facility.  It could have been much worse.

"There was big potential here," he said.  "There was a big fuel load."

The San Antonio Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire within 45 minutes.  No injuries were reported.
