Hollywood, CA -- A fire caused $1.8 million in damages to a chrome-plating facility in Hollywood on Sunday, July 13.
For 2 hours, 130 firefighters worked to contain the fire. They arrived on the scene at 9am and found "thick black smoke and fire billowing" from the building.
The buildings roof partially collapsed. One firefighter was sent to the hospital, but was listed in good condition.
"Firefighters remained on scene for over 24 hours to address flair ups and douse hot spots," said Katherine Main.
Firefighters were able to save the businesses offices and office contents.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no reports of fire protection have been announced yet.
