Chicago, IL -- A fire on the 15th floor of a Chicago loop high-rise had firefighters busy all night. The fire was in a high-rise building that has not yet complied with the life safety ordinance that Chicago adopted in 2003. By January 1, 2015, all high-rises in Chicago must comply.
The fire was under control by 3am. The building was under renovation and vacant at the time of the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
