Manistee, MI -- A garage filled with dozens of pristine, antique cars caught fire over the weekend. After a 7 hour battle, they were all destroyed, but the fire was out.
At 1:21pm on Sunday, fire crews were called to the scene. Twelve vehicles were inside the garage. The fire crew tried to drag the cars out using a loader. Fire crews fought the fire internally, but the roof began to collapse and the crew had to evacuate. The garage quickly become engulfed in flames after the roof collapse.
Among the burned cars were an original 1967 Corvette, 1969 Dodge Super Bee, and a 1930 Dodge Street Rod in addition to a few sentinmental cars.
After 7 hours of fighting, the fire was finally extinguished at 8pm. Fire crews estimate that the fire cost about $250,000 in damages.
No injuries were reported.
