30 Feared Dead in Russian Shopping Mall Fire

mall fire protectionA fire ignited at a shopping center in Russia on Wednesday.  Thirty people are feared to have died in the blaze.

The fire occurred at one of the largest shopping malls in Kazan.  Forty people are missing, five people are confirmed dead, and twenty-five are presumed dead.  The mall collapsed and, according to Tass News, "the hope of finding survivors under the shopping center debris has been abandoned."

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
