CO Firefighters Dies of His Injuries After Responding to Fire

Firefighter Dies in the Line of Duty | F.E. Moran Fire ProtectionDenver, CO -- A Denver firefighter has died as a result of his injuries.  He was fighting a fire from the roof and fell through a skylight.

"He had been released several days ago from an area hospital then went home to recuperate," said Eric Tade, Denver Fire Chief.  It was there that he began feeling shortness of breath. 

He was taken to the hospital at 7:47pm.  At 8:30pm, he went into cardiac arrest and died.

"John gave his life in the line of duty to ensure the safety of others," said Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
