Fire in Arlington Heights Kills Man

Arlington Heights, IL -- A fire at a residence in Arlington Heights killed one man and injured two other people.

The fire started at 1:55am and Arlington Heights fire crews arrived shortly after.

One man died and two others were taken to local hospitals with injuries.  Their ages and genders were not available.

The fire was contained to the home's hallway.  It was under control in 10 minutes.

The cause is under investigation.

Imagine if this home was equipped with residential fire sprinklers.  Would this have still been the outcome?
