Fire Destroys St. Johns Business | F.E. Moran Fire Protection

St Johns, MI -- A fire destroyed a commercial building in an overnight fire.

The building was 70 years old and was attached the LeLeck's Power Equipment.  No one was in the building at the time.

The fire ignited just before 4am.  St. Johns Fire Chief Dean Mazzolini said the building was used for warehousing.  The fire did not spread to any other buildings.

The cause of the fire in not yet known.  However, according to Mazzolini, arson is not suspected.  

It took 1.5 hours to knock the fire out with the help from multiple departments.  Fire Departments from DeWitt, Ovid, Fowler, and Maple Rapids responded to the fire.
