Wife of Fallen Firefighter Files Lawsuit | F.E. Moran Fire Protection

Chicago, IL -- Julie Capuano, the wife of the firefighter who died in a Chicago warehouse fire, has filed a lawsuit.

Capuano filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the owner of the building her husband died in earlier this week.  Her husband fell down an unprotected, undocumented elevator shaft while fighting a fire in the warehouse.

The lawsuit claims that the building owners are responsible for his death because the owner had an open elevator shaft, gaping holes in the floor, and no permits on the work being done at the warehouse.
