Firefighters Battle a Three-Alarm Fire at BU Building | F.E. Moran

Boston, MA -- Boston firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at Boston University.

Five people were treated for smoke inhalation and needed to be transported to the hospital.  The victims were three students, one college police officer, and one firefighter.

The university sent alerts to students at 9am, telling them to avoid the area.  The fire reached three alarms before being extinguished at 9:35am. 

The fire started in a recording studio in the Communications Building.

The fire impacted the entire area.  The Green Line's B line from Packards Corner was shut down.
