Residents Jump to Escape Denver Apartment Fire | F.E. Moran Fire Protection

Denver, CO -- Several people needed to jump from an apartment building from the second and third floors when a fire broke out.

The fire ignited at 9pm.  People on the second and third floors began jumping from the windows to escape the flames.  Fire crews were called to the scene and immediately began setting up ladders and rescuing residents.

Denver Fire said the fire was on the third floor.  It is believed to have started from a domestic dispute, but officials have not made that official.

Eleven people were injured and taken to Denver Health Medical Center.  Infants and children were among the injured.  Three people were listed in serious condition and two were critical.  Twenty families were displaced.
