A firefighter, Matt Scarpuzzi, invented Quickstop Fire Sprinkler tools to quickly turn off a sprinkler head after it has been accidentally activated.
Fire Sprinklers use 30-100 gallons of water a minute. While they are incredibly effective in preventing the spread of fire and/or extinguishing a fire, they can cause extensive water damage when activated accidentally.
Scarpuzzi brought his invention to Shark Tank. Kevin "Mr. Wonderful" O'Leary and Lori Greiner, the Queen of QVC, offered $150,000 for 50% of the business. While Scarpuzzi declined their offer, his product can still be found on QuickStopTool.com.
The tool comes in two sizes - residential and commercial.
Do you have a plan to quickly turn off fire sprinklers in the event of an accidental activation?
