Chicago, IL -- Four people were critically injured in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago when a fire broke out and firefighters were sent to the wrong address.
The fire broke out around 1:50am on Friday in a six-unit building. When crews arrived, they found shooting flames coming from the back of the building.
"When I looked out the window, I noticed a guy out here wrapped in a bed sheet, screaming, 'Get out! Get out!' That's when I turned my head and saw the flames were shooting 20 feet out of the neighboring house," said Joseph Alfe, a neighbor.
Jessica Johnson, another neighbor, said she woke up to a neighbors screams.
"By the time I heard him screaming, after he jumped and I came outside immediately, the flames were shooting out the window, all the way to the building next door," Johnson relayed.
The building is uninhabitable, and the Red Cross is assisting.
