Advertising is not what it used to be.  In fact, most American buyers don't trust advertising.  What do they trust?  They trust personal recommendations.  The best way to get more personal recommendations is to get involved in social media and encourage a visible interaction between your customers and your company.  When customers see interactions on social media, it's the new form of a personal recommendation.
